Coconut Oil
Although not an “essential oil”, coconut oil can be used for a technique known as “oil pulling” which has been shown to be effective in preventing gingivitis. Simply use a tablespoon of coconut oil and swish it around in the mouth slowly for about 15 minutes. Once finished spit out the oil and thoroughly rinse your mouth.
